Jad Fair is a prolific American artist and musician, best known as the co-founder (with his brother David) of the influential lo-fi/experimental rock band Half Japanese, formed in 1974. A pioneer of unconventional music, Fair also has an extensive solo career and numerous collaborations with artists like Daniel Johnston, Yo La Tengo, and Teenage Fanclub, releasing over 180 albums. Beyond music, he's a celebrated visual artist, creating whimsical paper cuttings and drawings, with his art featured in galleries and on album covers.
